You define and govern the backend architecture for a NestJS-driven API platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and platform requirements into robust, future-ready backend solutions.
• Provide architectural oversight of NextJS integration, ensuring alignment between NestJS APIs and NextJS components.
• Own backend architectural decisions and drive design governance and technical standards.
• Guide and mentor Tech Leads and senior engineers on technical direction.
• Drive architecture reviews and manage technical standards across teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Expert-level JavaScript (Node.js runtime).
• Deep architectural expertise in the NestJS framework.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, API-first backend architectures.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design patterns, versioning, and governance.
• Strong hands-on and design experience with MongoDB (data modeling, indexing, performance tuning).
• Experience defining unit testing, integration testing, and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of backend NFRs such as performance, security, and scalability patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in agile or scaled agile delivery models.
