Description

Define and govern backend architecture for a NestJS-driven API platform, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architectural decisions and technical direction for the platform.
• Translate business requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Provide architectural oversight for NextJS integration with NestJS APIs.
• Drive architecture reviews, design governance, and technical standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level JavaScript and advanced proficiency in TypeScript.
• Deep architectural expertise in the NestJS framework.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, API-first backend architectures.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design patterns, versioning, and governance.
• Hands-on design experience with MongoDB, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Experience defining unit and integration testing quality standards.
• Strong understanding of backend NFRs like performance, security, and scalability.
• Experience designing BFF, microservices, or modular monolith architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with React or Angular and API consumption patterns.
