Description

You will lead the architectural design and evolution of medical instrument software systems, ensuring stability and scalability across new and legacy products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee software architectures for new and existing medical instruments.
  • Lead architectural planning, implementation, and timeline management with project stakeholders.
  • Integrate instrument hardware and software to ensure seamless product performance.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers in architectural design and reverse-engineering techniques.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide detailed root cause analysis through written documentation.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect.
  • Expertise in C#, C++, and Delphi.
  • Strong experience with SQL database systems.
  • Proven ability to reverse-engineer undocumented or poorly documented legacy codebases.
  • Experience with software/hardware integration, specifically with medical or scientific instruments.
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working with WPF and embedded systems.
  • Strong written communication skills for technical reporting and documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
  • Background in instrument control systems or embedded software.
