You will lead the architecture and backend development of a greenfield Futures Commodity Commissions Market (FCM) platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of a scalable backend system for binary trading markets, including Order Management Systems (OMS) and clearing house connectivity.
• Design compliance subsystems for pre-trade and post-trade regulatory checks, CFTC/NFA reporting, and audit trails.
• Design AWS-native architectures and establish secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated observability, logging, and failover.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and compliance teams to define RESTful and event-driven APIs.
• Mentor onshore and offshore backend teams through code reviews, technical specifications, and deployment oversight.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend architecture or high-performance engineering.
• Expertise in .NET Core and C++ for low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including DynamoDB, EC2, EKS, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in event-driven architecture and real-time messaging using Kafka.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Ability to work within regulated financial frameworks (CFTC/NFA).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as SwiftUI to support API definition.
