You will own the design and implementation of core backend services for a regulated financial trading platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy backend services supporting a high-throughput Order Management System (OMS) for trade matching and execution.
• Build regulatory compliance modules for pre-trade/post-trade checks and reporting aligned with CFTC and NFA standards.
• Define and build scalable APIs to integrate with frontend systems using SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and Next.js.
• Own technical decisions across services, including data modeling, service boundaries, and error handling.
• Deploy, monitor, and support backend systems in a cloud-native AWS environment.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of backend development experience in high-throughput, low-latency environments.
• Strong programming skills in .NET Core (C#) and C++, focused on performance and concurrency.
• Proven, hands-on experience building trading systems or other regulated financial applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, and DynamoDB.
• Deep understanding of financial trade lifecycle, including order routing and clearing.
• Experience with event-driven systems and Kafka for real-time messaging.
• Demonstrated ability to build and expose APIs via an API Gateway.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CFTC or NFA financial compliance frameworks.
