Description

You will modernize the State Client’s Unemployment Insurance Employer Portal by migrating the frontend from .NET Framework 4.8 (ASP.NET Web Forms in VB.NET) to .NET 8.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing Web Forms components to .NET 8 using Blazor or MVC.
• Build secure, accessible, and scalable web applications.
• Integrate new frontend modules with legacy systems and modern infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior developers and DWD backend engineers to ensure technical alignment.
• Maintain and optimize existing VB.NET and .NET Framework 4.8 codebases during the transition.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in .NET development.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework 4.8 and legacy ASP.NET Web Forms.
• Hands-on experience with Blazor or ASP.NET MVC for modern frontend development.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment involving legacy VB.NET and modern C#/.NET 8.
• Understanding of secure and accessible web application standards.
• Experience integrating web applications with backend services and legacy systems.
