Description

You will modernize legacy child welfare systems by refactoring code and transitioning them to modern .NET platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot legacy systems in production environments.
• Refactor code and modularize systems to transition them to modern platforms.
• Translate child welfare program requirements into functional and technical system specifications.
• Develop technical documentation and contribute to system design sessions.
• Manage competing priorities in a production support environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Visual Basic 6 Programming Language.
• 5 years of experience with SQL Programming Language.
• 2 years of experience with Natural Programming Language.
• Proficiency with C#, ASP.NET, and the .NET Framework.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Understanding of data integration, batch processing, and file-based interfaces.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with child welfare modernization projects or system overhauls.
• Knowledge of federal CCWIS compliance standards.
