Description

Design and build maintainable, highly tested large-scale business applications from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business applications from initial concept through to production.
• Participate in peer code reviews and pull requests as both reviewer and reviewee.
• Apply software architectural principles, data modelling, and security best practices.
• Build and optimize relational database designs and queries.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver pragmatic technology solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering and design experience with large-scale business applications.
• 3+ years of experience developing business applications from concept to production.
• Proficiency with MVC .NET and .NET Core (version 3.1 or above).
• Experience with React.JS, GraphQL, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with ORM tools such as Entity Framework or EF Core.
• Strong API design and development skills.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically SQL Server and Postgres, including query optimization.
• Experience implementing unit and integration tests using NUnit, xUnit, MS Test, or Selenium.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Commercial insurance industry knowledge.
• Experience with NoSQL, Dapper, or NHibernate.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented principles, and design patterns.
