Description

You will manage the NetBackup infrastructure, ensuring system integrity through daily monitoring, patch deployment, and troubleshooting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the NetBackup solution, testing and deploying scheduled updates and patches.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis for existing NetBackup implementations.
• Provide ongoing support for HP-UX, SCO Unix, Redhat Linux, and IBM AIX servers.
• Configure new IBM Power 795, 770, and 750 frames using HMC for data center migration.
• Write Shell and Perl scripts to maintain UNIX system integrity and execute technical processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with UNIX system administration.
• Proficiency in Shell and Perl scripting.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX networking concepts.
• Experience with Redhat Linux and IBM AIX servers.
• Familiarity with HP-UX and SCO Unix environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM HMC and Power Systems migration.
• Willingness to travel for system setup and client interaction.
