Description

You will own the installation, configuration, and L3 maintenance of NetBackup and CommVault environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure NetBackup and CommVault data agents for Windows, Unix, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, NAS (NDMP), and VMware.
• Manage system maintenance, including patch management, service pack updates, and change implementation.
• Troubleshoot failed or pending jobs within defined SLAs and resolve complex performance or security issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAN Client backups using Fiber Transport and manage replication via Replication Director.
• Translate functional business requirements into technical specifications for backup infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backup administration and L3 support.
• Hands-on experience with Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting, specifically Shell, Python, or Puppet.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting CommVault, including SLP and Vault.
• Deep understanding of SQL, Oracle, VMware, and NDMP integration.
• Strong knowledge of SAN infrastructure, architecture, and TCP/IP concepts.
• Ability to manage internal NetBackup databases.
• Experience managing complex backup scheduling across operating systems, databases, and middleware.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Commvault troubleshooting and SAN Client backup configuration.
