Manage and optimize enterprise network infrastructure with a heavy focus on wireless technologies and routing protocols.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco wireless networks including access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot wireless LANs (WLANs) and protocols including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
• Perform network assessments and site surveys to determine optimal wireless coverage and capacity.
• Implement security measures including encryption, authentication, and access controls to protect wireless networks.
• Manage incident, change, and problem requests while handling major incidents and troubleshooting bridge calls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches (Nexus, Catalyst), Arista switches (MLAG, EOS, CVP, AVD), and industrial Cisco hardware.
• Subject Matter Expertise in routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
• Deep knowledge of wireless infrastructure: BSS, BSA, SSID, BSSID, ESS, IBSS, and CAPWAP operation.
• Proficiency in wireless authentication (802.1x/EAP, WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA3) and encryption (AES, TKIP, GCMP).
• Experience with network monitoring platforms like SolarWinds (including NCM) and Cisco DNA.
• Ability to use Python scripting and Ansible for network automation.
• Experience with MPLS, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
• Proficiency in Wireshark packet analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless or higher.
• Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).
