Description

Monitor and manage enterprise network performance, security, and availability while implementing DoD-compliant procedures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and encryption devices.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF and BGP in IPv4/IPv6 environments with IPSec VPNs.
• Enforce network security standards such as 802.1x, 802.11, MAC bridging, and traffic management.
• Evaluate and sustain telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring conformance with organizational IT policies and DoD regulations.
• Train users on basic operations and escalate complex issues to senior personnel.

Required Skills

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (willingness to obtain Top Secret required).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or related field (or 7 years total experience).
• IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
• CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of OSPF, BGP, 802.1X, and secure network architecture design.
• Proven experience managing complex DoD networks and implementing large-scale configurations.
• Proficiency with network monitoring platforms, documentation best practices, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills

• ITIL v4 certification.
• Experience with incident management in ServiceNow ITSM.
• Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
