Description

You will manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, server environments, and communication systems onsite in Kern County.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade client/server application environments, including operating systems and patch management.
• Manage networking hardware and software, specifically handling IOS upgrades, firewall updates, and internet content filters.
• Administer corporate messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Lync, secure email, and anti-spam software.
• Oversee the VOIP network infrastructure and manage the virtual server (VM) environment and storage area network (SAN).
• Monitor network and system logs for security and performance across routers, switches, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Execute data backup strategies using disk-to-disk solutions in alignment with Disaster Recovery policies.
• Resolve escalated Help Desk incidents, change management requests, and automate tasks via basic scripting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network and systems administration.
• Proficiency in Windows, Cisco, and Juniper platforms.
• Hands-on experience with architecture, design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Experience managing virtual server (VM) environments and provisioning storage on SAN.
• Knowledge of VOIP infrastructure and corporate messaging systems.
• Ability to manage physical and logical network documentation and disaster recovery efforts.
• Degree requirements: Any Graduate.

Preferred Skills

• CCNP or JNCIS-ENT certification.
