You will manage and support the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems for the Transportation Operations Center.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and deploy new network hardware, communications infrastructure, and replacement components.
- Monitor network resources for faults, traffic anomalies, and availability to ensure consistent connectivity.
- Respond to break/fix requests and resolve connection issues between users and resources.
- Maintain detailed architecture documentation, inventory records, and change histories.
- Support IPSec implementation, cybersecurity controls, threat hunting, and mitigation efforts.
- Perform capacity planning and network tuning to enhance resource performance.
Required Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in network administration.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching products.
- Proficiency with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Experience with VLAN management and firewall administration.
- Direct experience with IPSec implementation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of VPN and remote access technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory administration.
- Familiarity with VMware/vSphere environments.
- Experience with authentication protocols such as Cisco Client, Radius, or TACACS.
- Competency in network monitoring and Video Management Systems.
Preferred Skills
- CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification.
