Description

You will manage and support the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems for the Transportation Operations Center.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and deploy new network hardware, communications infrastructure, and replacement components.
  • Monitor network resources for faults, traffic anomalies, and availability to ensure consistent connectivity.
  • Respond to break/fix requests and resolve connection issues between users and resources.
  • Maintain detailed architecture documentation, inventory records, and change histories.
  • Support IPSec implementation, cybersecurity controls, threat hunting, and mitigation efforts.
  • Perform capacity planning and network tuning to enhance resource performance.

Required Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in network administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching products.
  • Proficiency with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with VLAN management and firewall administration.
  • Direct experience with IPSec implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access technologies.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Familiarity with VMware/vSphere environments.
  • Experience with authentication protocols such as Cisco Client, Radius, or TACACS.
  • Competency in network monitoring and Video Management Systems.

Preferred Skills

  • CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification.
