Description

Manage and optimize retail POS systems and server infrastructure in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot POS hardware, including controllers, registers, and peripheral devices.
• Perform root cause analysis and debugging for server domain issues to ensure application availability.
• Execute configuration changes and create playbooks to maintain quality assurance for store applications.
• Monitor system alerts and proactively manage application and system procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex application and system issues.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with IBM/Toshiba 4690 OS and NCR R10 retail POS systems.
• Proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows Servers.
• Experience troubleshooting POS hardware and controllers.
• Ability to manage production systems and recommend performance optimizations.
• Experience developing and evaluating business processes and related applications.
• Strong network troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a POS LAB environment.
• ITIL certification and incident management skills.
• Proficiency with Jira, ServiceNow, and Office 365.
