Description

You will provide network and system administration for local tenant infrastructure on-site at Kirtland AFB. You will install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, and network tools. You will manage access controls, audit systems, and configure firewalls. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot outages, and support system upgrades under the guidance of the Government IT Lead. You will specify technical requirements and maintain security for geographically distributed hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure software and hardware, including workstations and servers.
• Manage network servers, technology tools, and access controls through auditing and firewalls.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot outages under the guidance of the Government IT Lead.
• Support system upgrades, design solutions, and specify technical requirements.
• Maintain security and manage equipment performance for geographically distributed hardware.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in network and computer systems administration.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI eligibility and 2+ years in a TS processing environment.
• Minimum DoD 8140 IAT-II (Security+ CE) certification.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network principles.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft server administration.
• Proficiency with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
• Ability to use PowerShell, WMI, and Cisco IOS commands for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ArcServe backup software support and configuration.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA certification.
• Windows Operating System certifications (MCSA, MCSE).
• VMware VCP (Data Center or Network Virtualization).
