Description

Design and implement network architectures for communication between networked drones, edge servers, and cloud platforms. Administer Linux systems and cloud environments while ensuring security and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design architectures for efficient data transfer across WiFi, cellular, edge servers, and cloud platforms.
• Configure network firewalls and implement security best practices to protect against threats.
• Administer and maintain cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Monitor networks and servers to ensure required uptime and performance levels.
• Provide local Linux system administration and document all architectures and configurations.

Required Skills

• Advanced networking knowledge including IP routing, firewalls, VLANs, NAT, DNS, VPNs, and networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Nokia networking hardware.
• Experience with WiFi and cellular connectivity, including installation and performance measurement of complex WiFi networks.
• Linux administration experience (RedHat/Ubuntu) covering installation, configuration, and management.
• Proficiency with cloud compute, storage, and network platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with virtualization methods such as VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or K8s.
• Automation experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Preferred Skills

• Container management using Kubernetes.
• Scripting and programming in Python or Shell/Bash.
