Description

Design, deploy, and maintain distributed network infrastructure across multiple metropolitan sites.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new network builds at distributed sites in coordination with vendors.
• Act as a Tier 2 escalation point for network issues, alerts, and vendor inquiries.
• Diagnose and correlate network events to identify root causes and document remediation strategies.
• Create site-specific Engineering Design Plans (EDPs) and validate Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.
• Coordinate with vendors for the deployment of firewalls, switches, access points, and UPS infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in network operations.
• Practical experience establishing and troubleshooting BGP network peering.
• Proficiency configuring network devices via CLI (console and SSH) and cloud-hosted portals.
• Experience managing and delivering strategic networks with operational excellence.
• Strong skills in process, documentation, and configuration management.
• Proven ability in technical support or customer-facing roles.
• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing and evaluating new hardware and software, documenting results for vendor comparison.
