Description

You will evaluate the current data center infrastructure and design architectures to replace legacy systems and expand network capacity. You will deploy new infrastructure, manage connectivity migration, and coordinate these activities with stakeholders. Your work ensures the timely resolution of post-deployment escalations and supports the decommissioning of legacy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assess current data center networks supported by DOE/DIIT.
• Design and architect enterprise data center network solutions.
• Design and architect load balancing solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise solutions involving Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies.
• Manage migration events and coordinate post-deployment escalations.

Required Skills

• 12+ years’ experience planning, designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise networks (Wide Area and Data Center).
• Expertise with Cisco ASR, Cisco 9k/7k/5k, Cisco ACI, and VMware NSX.
• In-depth knowledge of IP networking and web protocols (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EGP).
• 12+ years’ experience with Next-Generation firewalls, web, and content filtering solutions (FortiGate, Zscaler, Cisco FirePower, or Cisco Meraki).
• Ability to collaborate with network architects and engineers to address support issues regarding routing protocols, data center performance, high availability, and scalability.
• Comfortable working in complex heterogeneous hardware and software environments.

Preferred Skills

• Active CCIE certification.
• Active CCNP or CCDP certifications.
• Prior education industry or project experience.
