Description

You will design, install, and maintain Ethernet communications systems and network hardware to ensure optimal performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and upgrade network hardware including routers, switches, MUXs, and cabling.
• Manage wired and wireless networks for indoor and outdoor access.
• Maintain wide-area network monitoring systems and configure cybersecurity tool sets.
• Use diagnostic tools like Wireshark and packet capture software to troubleshoot connectivity.
• Communicate technical assistance and information to customers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of extensive networking experience.
• CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Data Center, or CCDE certification.
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, and switching.
• Experience with Cisco IOS.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with VLAN tagging and spanning tree or EAPS.
• Working knowledge of carrier circuits including T1, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, and Ring Topology.
• Understanding of optical circuits such as DWDM, Waves, and Ethernet over fiber.
• Experience with network interfaces like NIDs and SMF.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in a leadership role as a Solutions Architect or Network Architect.
