Description

You will develop and maintain automation toolsets for device asset discovery, data collection, and reporting. You own the lifecycle of these tools, from requirements gathering to release and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and legacy Perl.
• Enhance existing workflows and network change management processes.
• Translate operational requirements into technical automation solutions.
• Conduct tooling audits to assess coverage and implement remediation changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for network automation.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in network automation and scripting.
• Proficiency in Python for creating API-based services and supporting existing scripts.
• Experience with Perl for maintaining legacy tools.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, and ACL networking protocols.
• Familiarity with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform for device management.
• Understanding of RESTful API principles, HTTP methods, authentication, and data serialization.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, BitBucket, or GitHub).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration and software lifecycle principles.
• Experience with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Flask or Django frameworks for building APIs.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or RedHat Ansible.
