Develop and maintain automation toolsets for device asset discovery, data collection, and reporting.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation tools using Python and legacy Perl scripts.
• Enhance existing scripts to improve workflows and network change management.
• Transform operational and functional needs into technical automation solutions.
• Conduct tooling audits to assess operational coverage and implement remediation changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for network automation solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in network automation.
• Proficiency in Python and Perl scripting.
• Strong experience with Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, and ACL.
• Experience with RESTful API principles, including HTTP methods, authentication, and data serialization.
• Proficiency with Git (BitBucket/GitHub) for version control.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration and software lifecycle principles.
• Experience with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation for users and developers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Flask or Django frameworks for API development.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or RedHat Ansible certifications.
