Description

You design, implement, and test network automation scripts and libraries for repeatable processes in network and telecommunication environments. You administer network applications and underlying systems, perform advanced network reporting, and mentor junior engineers. You identify manual operational tasks and develop automation to solve problems. You create technical documentation in accordance with Change Control and project management processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network scripts and libraries for automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting end-to-end network technologies including routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS appliances, and wireless devices.
• Proficiency in large-scale software development using C, C++, Perl, Windows PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, Linux Bash shell scripting, Python 3.x, Java, C#, or Go.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure automation technologies: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience building APIs and services using REST and SOAP.
• Experience building integrations via APIs between various systems, including ServiceNow.
• Proficiency with REST API software development and testing tools such as POSTMAN, curl, HTTPie, and Python Requests library.
• Knowledge and experience using Git for version control.
• Proficiency with API Development.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Python libraries used for Network Automation.
• Proficiency with Cisco-based, Palo Alto-based, and F5-based infrastructure and associated APIs.
• Proficiency with network tools such as Splunk, Zenoss, InfoBlox, Endace, LiveAction, etc.
