Description

You will design, implement, and manage complex local and wide area network architectures alongside cloud networking environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, installation, and technical support for data IT solutions and network audits.
• Configure and implement VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and Virtual Private Gateways.
• Audit, monitor, and reconfigure network environments to improve performance and ensure future scalability.
• Diagnose complex network problems and develop disaster recovery and fault tolerance plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead the development of network standards and documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Proficiency in LAN switching: VLAN, VTP, STP, Ether Channel, and CoS.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking: VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and Security Groups.
• Experience with WAN technologies including MPLS, MPLS/VPN, and MP-BGP.
• Strong understanding of Network Security: IPsec VPN, AAA, TACACS+, and RADIUS.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware: Catalyst (4500, 6500, 9K), Nexus (ACI, 9K/7K/5K/2K), and ISR/ASR routers.
• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and Cisco DNA Center.
• Practical knowledge of application protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, and SSL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with F5 Big IP (LTM/GTM) or AWS Load Balancers.
• Familiarity with network management tools like SolarWinds, Infoblox, or Riverbed.
