Description

Design, deploy, and upgrade WAN circuits and core network infrastructure for global customers. Own the full lifecycle from technical design reviews to implementation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design WAN infrastructure, remote connectivity, IP address plans, and naming conventions to optimize performance.
• Execute deployment and upgrades of PTP and CMPLS WAN circuits using MPLS, BGP, and VRFs.
• Perform design integration for complex, cross-functional systems and lead technical design reviews.
• Develop network designs and cost models for presentation to product and contract management teams.
• Collaborate with ISPs to resolve WAN, BGP, MPLS, and IS-IS peering issues.

Required Skills

• 7 to 10 years of experience in network engineering.
• Deep expertise in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR 9000/1000, Catalyst 4500/3850/3650, and Nexus 3000 series.
• Proficiency with Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, VPC, FEX, VDC, and VSS.
• Experience managing L3 VPNs, VRFs, IPsec, and VPN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of QoS implementations for voice and video on enterprise networks.
• Experience with legacy Cisco hardware including 7200, 6500, ISR, FWSMs, and ASA.
• Ability to manage WAN circuit service provider migrations.
