Network Data Engineer

You will manage and optimize LAN and WAN network architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure network devices including switches, routers, wireless, voice, and data systems.
• Own network security implementation including firewalls, proxies, policies, and DMZ intrusion detection/prevention.
• Manage device patch management, inventory, and change management processes.
• Provide L3 to L5 support for production and cybersecurity incidents.
• Execute failover and disaster recovery testing for all network components.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Proficiency with Cisco Wireless Infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols: VTP, LACP, 802.1Q, RSTP, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, GLBP, VSS/VSL, and QoS.
• Experience with Multicast, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, RADIUS/TACACS+, 802.1x, SNMP, L3VPNs, L2VPNs, and IPsec.
• Experience with Zscaler and Network Security Operations.
• Knowledge of SDN/SDDC and AWS.
• Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and traffic trending analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing security controls across hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
