Description

You will manage the deployment and commissioning of optical networking equipment within new PoPs and data center builds.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission optical devices, including Ciena and Infinera hardware.
• Configure, build, rollout, and test new DWDM line systems, including calibration and verification.
• Execute network optimization tasks such as re-stripes, migrations, upgrades, and capacity swaps.
• Perform physical installations including chassis, line cards, and structured fiber.
• Manage device lifecycles through software/firmware upgrades, re-bootstrapping, and decommissioning.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering and optical deployments.
• Expert knowledge of DWDM components including ROADM, Mux/Demux, Amplifiers, and Transponders.
• Hands-on experience with Ciena and/or Infinera optical devices.
• Proficiency in channel creation, optimization, and cross-connect builds.
• Solid understanding of fiber-optic technology, including cable, connector, and optic types.
• Experience with DWDM testing methods, tools, and BERT.
• CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent networking knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree.
