Description

Lead field activities for the planning, surveying, installation, and migration of network and wireless equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and document network installations, including rack elevations, patch matrices, and migration procedures.
• Lead onsite installation crews and provide work instructions to Level 2-3 smart hands technicians.
• Perform site surveys, equipment additions, removals, and modifications on live equipment.
• Oversee quality control for network installations and validate cabling work.
• Validate switch and wireless equipment operation post-migration and manage troubleshooting efforts.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a network deployment consultant.
• Technical knowledge of current network products and installation phases.
• Experience with copper (Cat6) and fiber installation best practices.
• Familiarity with cabling and installation to BICSI and ANSI/TIA standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visio for documenting rack elevations and patch matrices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience leading cabling or network installation technician teams.
• Proficiency in using power tools including saws, portable band saws, and drills.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs.
