Description

Design and deploy IP-based LAN/WAN networks for underground and rugged environments. You will own the architecture and implementation of Wi-Fi, LTE, and radio communications, alongside fiber optic installation and testing. Your work ensures secure, reliable connectivity through VPNs, firewalls, and rigorous network security practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect underground IP-based LAN/WAN networks.
• Deploy Wi-Fi, LTE, and radio communications in rugged environments.
• Install, splice, and test fiber optic infrastructure.
• Manage VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using SolarWinds and Wireshark.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in network engineering.
• Strong expertise in RF, Wi-Fi, and LTE technologies.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and low-voltage systems.
• Experience with network security, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using SolarWinds and Wireshark.
• Local to Salt Lake City, UT (84104) with onsite availability.
