Description

Develop and maintain secure O-RAN Radio OS and firmware to meet O-RAN and 3GPP security standards.

Design, build, and maintain O-RAN Radio OS across all platforms while implementing OS hardening and security requirements. Architect cybersecurity features into new O-RAN Radio platforms and integrate them across existing product codebases. Implement security protocols for O-RAN fronthaul interfaces in alignment with O-RAN WG11 specifications. Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to verify implementation against security architecture and requirements. Execute end-to-end security posture assessments through source code auditing and functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain O-RAN Radio OS with strict hardening and security requirements.
• Architect cybersecurity features for new platforms and integrate them into existing codebases.
• Implement security protocols for O-RAN fronthaul interfaces per O-RAN WG11 specifications.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to validate security architecture.
• Execute end-to-end security posture assessments via source code auditing and functional testing.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in FW/SW architecture, design, and implementation for wireless applications and radio products.
• Proficiency in embedded software development using C for system software, including bootloaders, drivers, kernel, and system services.
• Strong experience with C++ and object-oriented design.
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel software, Embedded Linux, and RTOS.
• Experience with U-Boot/kernel development, customization, Linux Device Tree, and file system operations.
• Hands-on experience with security protocols including IEEE 802.1X, MACSec, PKI, and cryptographic techniques.
• Familiarity with O-RAN WG11 security specifications and 3GPP TS 33.501 for 5G system architecture security.
• Ability to perform risk analysis using O-RAN Security Threat Modeling and ISO 27005 frameworks.
