Description

You will architect and design enterprise-grade wireless and wired network solutions for large manufacturing and office environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design high-density wireless networks, addressing coverage, capacity, and interference mitigation for challenging environments.
• Conduct predictive and on-site wireless surveys using Ekahau or AirMagnet to validate AP placements and RF performance.
• Configure and optimize Cisco & Arista switches, including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and QoS policies.
• Leverage Cisco Spaces for wireless analytics, location-based services, and data-driven optimizations.
• Collaborate with project managers and vendors to ensure seamless integration of wireless infrastructure with the switching fabric.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise wireless and wired network design and implementation.
• Deep expertise in Cisco Wireless (WLC 9800 series) and Juniper Mist solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Spaces for location-based analytics and tracking.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco and Arista switching, including VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and QoS.
• Proficiency in RF design principles, antenna selection, AP placement, and interference mitigation.
• Experience with large-scale site surveys using Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with wireless security mechanisms (WPA2/3, 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP-TLS).
• Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center/Catalyst Center for wireless assurance and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing wireless solutions for large manufacturing environments with high ceilings (40ft-100ft+) and metal obstructions.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, NFPA 70E, BICSI) and industrial safety protocols.
