Description

You will manage and support network infrastructure in a remotely administered lights-out environment, providing tier 2/3 support and maintaining stability across distributed sites.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Cisco Catalyst switches, ASR/ISR routers, and ASA Firepower devices.
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto 3000 and 500 series security devices.
• Manage network protocols including MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, FlexVPN, and VRFs.
• Implement and troubleshoot STP, VTP, 802.1q, LACP, and 802.1x NAC.
• Develop standard operating procedures, topology diagrams, and IP addressing assignments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise or service provider environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco IOS command syntax and Nexus 5000 platforms.
• Proficiency with packet decoding tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, or tcpdump.
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack and network services (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP).
• Active DOE or DOD Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience scripting network operations using Python or Ansible.
