Description

You will manage advanced configurations and operating system upgrades for carrier-class Cisco and Juniper equipment within a complex, multivendor nationwide data network.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute configuration changes for directional Intelligent Edge Networks, including SAP and Access eNSE fabrics.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance window changes while adhering to corporate standards.
• Perform transport circuit turn-up and troubleshooting for varying bandwidths.
• Engineer network configurations for onboarding private cloud tenants.
• Review MOPs and automated dry-run outputs with the engineering team to ensure change accuracy.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco (CRS, NCS, ASR 9K, ISR 3945, Nexus 3K/7K/9K) and Juniper (MX-480, MX-960) hardware.
• Proficiency with IOS, XR-IOS, NX-OS, and JunOS operating systems.
• Deep understanding of IPv6, L2VPN, L3VPN, OSPFv3, MPBGP, QoS/Traffic Engineering, MPLS (LDP & TDP), and VRFs.
• Experience with VXLAN, Python, NSO, and DCNM.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to work 3rd shift (Monday-Friday mornings) in Bedminster, NJ.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using automation tools such as VTS, Pronghorn, and Nuage.
• Proficiency with configuration comparison tools like Ultracompare or Diff Checker.
