Description

You will design, configure, and implement computer network management systems and TCP/IP connectivity support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and test network systems using scientific testing procedures and documentation.
• Manage and resolve administration problems, including major system crashes and network security issues.
• Implement and monitor network security, email protection, anti-spam, and virus protection.
• Supervise help-desk technicians and provide technical support to users with varying IT competence.
• Plan and implement future IT developments and manage hardware, application, and website upgrades.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP connectivity and stack troubleshooting.
• Experience with VTP, STP, DTP, and HSRP.
• Hands-on use of Splunk and AWS.
• Network programming and scripting using Python.
• Technical knowledge of FMC, TCP, and NTOP.
• Proficiency with Wireshark, Ping, Telnet, and PuTTY/Tera Term.
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Prime, Cisco FTD, and Cisco WSA.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to travel to various client locations within the United States for short- and long-term assignments.
