Partner with Infrastructure leadership, IS teams, and business units to engineer, plan, and deliver network solutions aligned with reliability, performance, and security requirements.
Analyze business needs, gather technical requirements, and design end-to-end network architectures.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network technologies.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, models, procedures, and solution designs.
Participate in customer and internal IT meetings to qualify technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
Create CAPEX requests and track hardware and software procurement.
Lead or mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.
Support network automation, standardization, and monitoring initiatives.
Act as an escalation point for complex network issues.
Support after-hours work, including nights and weekends, during implementations or outages.
Required Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Network Engineering within an enterprise environment.
5+ years of experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, design principles, and enterprise architectures.
Hands-on experience with:
Routers, switches, and spine/leaf architectures
Network virtualization and segmentation
Storage networking and zoning
Load balancers and network security solutions
Experience with SDN technologies, including:
Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
VMware NSX (preferred)
Strong knowledge of Network Security, including:
Palo Alto Networks firewalls
VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Web Application Firewalls
Cisco security solutions and Cisco ISE
Experience with Cisco technologies, including:
Cisco Routing & Switching
Cisco Nexus & UCS
Cisco WAAS / WCCP
Experience with F5 LTM/GTM.
Proven experience with QoS, especially for voice and video traffic.
Knowledge of encryption architectures and network isolation strategies.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues and network monitoring tools.
Scripting and automation skills are a plus.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
