Description

You will engineer and support core network infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, recommend, and plan technical projects with Infrastructure leadership to meet network reliability, performance, or control needs.
• Analyze business needs, gather requirements, design, install, troubleshoot, and support technical solutions.
• Develop and document models, plans, diagrams, and procedures for engineering activities.
• Create capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests and track hardware and software order progress.
• Participate in meetings with customers and IT staff to qualify technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an enterprise organization.
• 5+ years of experience leading project teams or mentoring junior engineers.
• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, design principles, and practical application of routers, switches, virtualization, and load-balancers.
• Experience working with SDN solutions, specifically Cisco ACI and VMware VNX.
• Knowledge of network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and WAFs.
• Proven understanding of network segmentation/isolation and encryption architectures.
• Strong documentation skills for generating technical specifications and procedures.
• Experience standardizing and automating network configuration and deployment.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for implementations and serve as escalation point.
