Description

You will manage physical network infrastructure and hardware maintenance in a hands-on capacity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix tasks including hardware inspection, component replacement, and power cycling of routers, servers, and switches.
• Execute physical deployment tasks such as racking, stacking, cabling, and managing fiber, copper, and power connections.
• Manage circuit provisioning by installing cables, optics, SFPs, or GBICs and performing circuit migrations.
• Handle equipment inventory through labeling, serial number recording, and digital documentation.
• Support data integrity via tape backup exchanges and following data eradication processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a network administrator role.
• Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, including re-seating components and testing circuits with loop-back cables.
• Experience with physical layer management, including cable management and fiber cleaning.
• Knowledge of server infrastructure management, control, and monitoring.
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
• CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.
• Associate's degree or technical school diploma with an emphasis in electronics.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with firewalls and remote Internet VPN implementation and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
