Description

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on automation and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and document network architectures, including physical/logical topologies, IP schemes, and VLAN segmentation.
• Configure and deploy network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs) using dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP) and high-availability solutions.
• Implement security policies, including firewall configurations, IDS/IPS rules, and network segmentation for compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Automate network operations and configuration management using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to reduce manual toil.
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco DNA Center, conducting root cause analysis for outages and optimizing QoS.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure design.
• Deep expertise in BGP and OSPF dynamic routing protocols.
• Proficiency in VLAN design, subnet planning, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Nagios, SolarWinds, and Cisco DNA Center.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience implementing VPNs, firewalls, and security baseline documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proven track record of managing vendor assets and hardware/software inventory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance audits and generating risk assessment evidence.
