Description

You will manage the design and execution of physical infrastructure capacity planning for global POP, CLS, and ILA facilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute global space and power planning for MV/LV, cooling, and cabling infrastructure.
• Perform system-level facility sizing for utilities, switchgear, UPS/DC power plants, PDUs, and mechanical cooling.
• Develop multi-year proactive plans for space, power, and cooling to meet forecasted demand.
• Deliver engineering design packages for site infrastructure scope to support sourcing and investment teams.
• Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, pricing, and partnership evaluations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Center Planning and Design.
• BS/BE in Electrical Engineering.
• Expertise in reading and analyzing electrical and mechanical single-line diagrams.
• Deep technical knowledge of regional data center electrical and cooling configurations, including IEC and NEMA standards.
• Hands-on experience with DC Power Plants, UPS, PDUs, and MV systems.
• Experience with optical network design, installation, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of optical theory, transport technologies, and optical transport system operations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CLS, and ILA environments.
• Experience working in POPs, carrier hotels, data centers, and Central Office environments.

Preferred Skills

• PE or CE engineering licensure with an MEP focus.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, or BIM360.
