Description

You will own the physical and logical audit of network infrastructure, ensuring documentation accuracy and hardware integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform secure, read-only logins to network tools to audit documents and update them based on physical reports.
• Manage physical hardware setup, including racking, stacking, and cabling for switches and routers.
• Validate logical device identity, hostnames, management IPs, and alignment with physical labels.
• Capture interface details such as link status, speed, duplex, MAC/IP addresses, and VLAN associations.
• Populate discovery templates with accurate data and cross-check logical findings against physical audit reports.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center physical layer operations and hardware maintenance.
• Hands-on expertise with racking, stacking, and fiber/copper cabling.
• Strong understanding of L2/L3 concepts, VLANs, MAC, IP, ARP, and neighbor discovery (LLDP/CDP).
• Ability to interpret "show" commands and extract audit values from Cisco, Juniper, or next-gen firewall equipment.
• Familiarity with out-of-band and management interfaces.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Exceptional attention to detail for template-based documentation.
