Description

Design, implement, and maintain complex data network architectures and protocols on-site in Greensboro, NC.

You will troubleshoot connectivity issues, manage network topology, and document configurations while resolving technical problems via ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network architecture, devices, and appliances.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues using OSI Model and TCP/IP knowledge.
• Manage network topology and routing according to IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Document network configurations and diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Resolve technical issues via internal and vendor ticketing software.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of data network experience.
• Expertise in switching, routing, Ethernet, and transport technologies.
• Deep understanding of multi-mode fiber, single-mode fiber, and UTP.
• Proficiency with bridging and optical transport protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of network design and topology.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for network mapping.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Broadsoft or SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
• Background supporting Voice services or Spectrum Enterprise products.
