Description

You will join the Core Network Engineering and Implementation team to engineer and deploy the eNSE platform across Northeast and Great Lakes markets.

Responsibilities

• Engineer IP networking build projects and manage the transition from VXLAN to the eNSE Segment Routed platform.
• Write technical Layer 1 equipment installation and fiber testing Method of Procedures (MOP).
• Deploy and troubleshoot racked routers and switches in Wireless MSCs.
• Engineer and deploy directional networks for Intelligent Edge, including SAP ENSE Fabric, Access ENSE fabric, ISP, NNI, and 5G connectivity.
• Work with peer teams to ensure new networks meet KPIs and strategic technology goals.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in IP Layer 1-3 for Edge Networks.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS and functional knowledge of TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6).
• Hands-on experience with network virtualization and implementing updates on live devices.
• Knowledge of spine and leaf fabric networking, VXLAN, and BGP.
• Extensive Layer 1 troubleshooting expertise for copper (Cat5/6) and fiber (SC, LC, FC, MP0).
• Expert proficiency with CLI commands for Nokia 7750/7706/7250 and Cisco platforms including CRS-16, Nexus 3k/5k/7K/9K, and IOS, XE, XR, NX-OS.
• Ability to create and implement MOPs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco CRS, NCS, ASR 9K, ISR 3945, and Nexus series.
• Experience with Nokia SR routers.
