Description

Manage and engineer DNS, DHCP, and IP address management services across a large enterprise network.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily DNS/DHCP support and engineering guidance to cross-functional departments.
• Design and implement DNS solutions for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Provision DNS/DHCP servers and manage domain ownership transfers and Public IP registration.
• Troubleshoot network issues using root cause analysis and packet analysis.
• Document complex technical requirements and solutions for stakeholders and management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of DNS architecture, including ISC BIND and Microsoft DNS.
• Proficiency with DDI/IPAM platforms such as Infoblox, BlueCat, or BT IPControl.
• Advanced knowledge of IP management, network design, and DNS/DHCP configuration.
• Strong understanding of L2/L3 switching and routing protocols, Cisco GSS/GSLB, and firewalls.
• Experience with Avaya and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Working knowledge of Unix and Windows command shells using bash and batch scripting.
• Competency in MySQL querying, databases, and HTTP/HTTPS webserver redirection.
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, SSH, SFTP, and Wireshark packet analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BT Diamond products and appliances.
• Familiarity with Akamai CDN technologies, including Fast DNS and Site Shield.
• ITIL knowledge.
