Description

You will design, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale DWDM and optical networks. You own the rollout of complex optical planning and modeling initiatives while applying deep IP networking fundamentals. Your work ensures robust routing stability across major Cisco platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute the rollout and optimization of large DWDM and optical networks using specialized planning tools.
• Configure and maintain major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF, across diverse network segments.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco router platforms (37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx) including all compatible supervisory and line cards.
• Analyze network performance and resolve complex issues using strong network analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of industry experience in network engineering.
• Expertise in IP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols.
• Deep knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx platforms.
• Proficiency in optical planning and modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of TCP internals, flow control, and IPv4/IPv6.
• Experience with HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, and LDP.
• Familiarity with TACACS, IPSEC, VPNs, NetFlow, DNS, and HTTP.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DWDM, T1/OTN technologies, and T1/OTN protocols.
