Description

You will design, implement, and support complex enterprise network infrastructure in Seattle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability network systems across large-scale environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of routing and switching issues, ensuring system reliability.
• Automate operational tasks and network management using Python, Bash, or Java.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and standard procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support technical escalations as needed.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of industry experience in network engineering, focusing on routing, switching, and infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in IP networking fundamentals and routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, and BGP.
• Strong command of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and NetFlow.
• Proficiency in network automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms (e.g., 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx) and associated modules.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3/OC48), and Ethernet standards (802.2/3).
• Familiarity with VLANs/STP (802.1d), IPv4 & IPv6, TCP flow control, HSRP, GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, IPSEC, and TACACS.
