You will design, implement, and maintain complex LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Design and document network topologies, configurations, and security policies.
- Manage Cisco Nexus 6000, 7000, or 9000 series switches and implement Nexus Fabric features like vPC.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco VSS technology, including fabric partitioning and failover mechanisms.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and security vulnerabilities using monitoring tools.
- Implement network security measures such as ACLs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with server, storage, and application teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- Deep expertise in Cisco Nexus series switches and Cisco VSS.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with network operating systems such as IOS and NX-OS.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Proven ability to manage network changes, upgrades, and complex project lifecycles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving high-level connectivity and performance issues.
Preferred Skills
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE certifications.
