Description

Network Engineer L3 responsible for architecting, deploying, and optimizing on-prem datacenter networks. You will own the full lifecycle of network infrastructure, from design and buildouts to troubleshooting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate front-end, backend, and management networks within on-prem datacenters.
• Optimize end-user experience by reducing latency, packet loss, and jitter while increasing network scale.
• Perform site visits to oversee new network buildouts and coordinate with operations teams.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, cabling schedules, and DCIM data.
• Train L1 support teams and provide on-call incident response for complex network issues.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and NICs.
• Demonstrated expertise with Cisco and Arista products; Arista ACE-Level 3 certification or higher is required.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible for automating infrastructure deployment and metrics collection.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure services: DNS, DHCP, BOOTP, PXE, TFTP, NTP, and PAM.
• Experience with Linux environments and tools such as MAAS or Infoblox.
• Understanding of hosting technologies including Hyper-converged infrastructure, Converged Infrastructure, and Xen virtualization.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and explain complex network concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCNP Certification.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus, Nexus Manager, and VXLAN/EVPN overlays.
• Knowledge of RDMA network tuning and non-Ethernet technologies like InfiniBand/ConnectX.
