Description

You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure as part of an engineering team based in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install network devices including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Firewalls, SWGs, and VPNs.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting for project implementation and operational issues.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement Network Access Control (NAC), ACLs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Develop and maintain as-built configurations and knowledge base documentation.
• Work with digital manufacturing teams to implement and secure OT environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in network engineering within a similar or larger organization.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Hands-on experience with LAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and VPC design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, load balancers, DHCP, and DNS.
• Experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
• Solid understanding of network security principles, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
• Knowledge of VoIP phone systems and their components.
• Experience with network capacity planning and general network management best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud networking components, specifically AWS.
