Description

You will design, engineer, and secure complex network architectures for a large federal agency, ensuring high availability and compliance. You will own the full lifecycle of network projects from analysis and design through implementation and troubleshooting.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate enterprise-level network architecture, including data center and cybersecurity planning.
• Configure and maintain Cisco NXOS, ISE, VPN, NAC, and ASR systems.
• Analyze current device configurations to identify vulnerabilities and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures for monitoring, performance measurement, and nationwide rollouts.
• Provide third-level support, troubleshoot complex network issues, and guide team members.

Required Skills

• Cisco CCIE or equivalent certification (Security domain preferred) or CCDE credential.
• 14+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years engineering complex network systems.
• Extensive knowledge of LAN technologies: Ethernet, 802.1x, wireless LAN, and physical media.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) and Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Proficiency in configuring VPN, Network Admission Control (NAC), and SD-WAN solutions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust clearance.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with government customers and management.

Preferred Skills

• CCIE certification specifically in the Security domain.
• Experience with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and IP routing protocols.
• Understanding of cloud networking services and Storage Area Network (SAN) connectivity.
