Description

You will plan, install, and upgrade network infrastructure on vessels during dry dock activities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and test switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points to support shipboard communication modernization.
• Configure and verify network devices to ensure optimal performance, redundancy, and failover capabilities.
• Review network drawings, rack layouts, port maps, and cabling schedules to guide project execution.
• Coordinate with shipyard teams, marine engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless network refresh projects.
• Document project activities and troubleshoot network issues during installation and commissioning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience planning and executing network upgrades in complex environments.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting wireless systems.
• Ability to interpret network drawings, cabling schedules, and rack layouts.
• Strong diagnostic skills for resolving network issues during installation.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in marine or offshore vessel environments.
• Familiarity with dry dock operational workflows.
